Domaine La Gemière, Loire Valley, France

Located on the banks of the Loire, the vineyards of Sancerre cover about 2800 hectares, 14 cities and 3 hamlets share the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC). Its geographical location makes it a perfect region for growing grapes. There are many hills and valleys, allowing to profit from 3 main types of soil; Terres Blanches (clay and limestone), Caillottes (limestone) and Argilo-siliceous soils (flint); three very different soils with their own specificity and type of wine. Most plots of the vineyard are in the town of Crézancy in Sancerre with a few in Bué.
